In September 2022, AAR Corp was among the 14 companies selected for the U.S. Air Force’s $1.9 billion ceiling contract. The task order required to provide initial electric spare parts supporting the 46 Foreign Military Sales and U.S. Air Force’s KC-46 Pegasus aerial tanker fleets.

The KC-46 aircraft is a multirole aerial tanker based on the Boeing 767-200 widebody passenger jet. It can refuel 64 U.S., allied, and coalition military aircraft and carry medical patients, cargo, and passengers.

The Department of the Air Force Mobility and Training Aircraft Directorate’s KC-46 Division administered this multiple-award IDIQ contract.

In March 2017, AAR Corp was awarded a 15-year $909 million contract to support the U.S. Air Force’s Landing Gear Performance-Based Logistics One program.

The task order includes overall supply chain management from purchasing and refurbishing to distribution for KC-135, C-130, and E-3 landing gear parts. Repair services are being performed at AAR Corp’s facility in Miami, Florida.

AAR Corp opened a new facility in March 2018 to increase the capacity of the Hill Air Force Base Landing Gear Depot for the C-130, KC-135, and E-3 aircraft.

AAR Corp has been a trusted partner providing aviation aftermarket services for over 60 years and has managed landing gear repair, maintenance, and logistics for over 30 years.

In April 2022, AAR Government Services was awarded an estimated $365 million contract to provide Service Life Extension Program overhaul and depot work for the F16 fighter jet. The work is being performed in different locations, including Droogdokkeneilan, Netherlands; Bydgoszcz, Poland; and Clearfield, Utah, with an expected completion date of March 2033.

In August 2022, AAR Corp Mobility Systems was awarded a $173.5 million contract to produce next-generation all-aluminum cargo pallets replacing the 463L cargo pallets for the U.S. Air Force.

AAR Corp is designing the next-generation all-aluminum pallet with corrosion-resistant aluminum extrusions friction stir welded together. The new design can also be loaded and off-loaded on various aircraft.

AAR has been producing and repairing the current generation of 463L cargo pallets for the U.S. Air Force and other branches of the U.S. armed forces to support its global operational requirements. AAR continues the program with next-generation pallets through this contract award.

5. AAR Corp Awarded a Contract to Provide Logistics Support for the U.S. Navy’s C-40A Aircraft

In December 2020, AAR Corp was awarded an estimated $148 million contract with the U.S. Navy. The task order required AAR Corp to provide logistics support for operating and maintaining the C-40A aircraft, aircraft subsystems, appliances and support equipment, and more. The follow-on contract includes new operating sites, scheduled engine overhauls, and commercial line maintenance.

This is the second time AAR Corp was selected to support the U.S. Navy’s growing C-40 fleet. Heavy maintenance work for the C-40A aircraft is being performed at AAR Corp’s MRO facility at the Oklahoma City airport.

In July 2022, the Defense Logistics Agency awarded AAR Corp the 20-year Captains of Industry contract to provide international supply chain support to the U.S. Department of Defense and its allies. AAR Corp will render its services, including depot and field maintenance activities, performance-based logistics, engineering and technical solutions, planning, repair development, and forecasting.

The Defense Logistics Agency’s Captains of Industry contracts are holistic support contracts with performance-based outcomes. These are awarded to the agency’s partners contributing to the Defense Department’s warfighter preparedness and other customers who need engineering and support services and weapons system parts.
