Leidos Wins $456M GSA Military OneSource Contract, Replacing Cognosante

Leidos has secured a $456.3 million contract from the General Services Administration to support the Department of War’s Military OneSource program, replacing incumbent Cognosante.

According to the award notice GSA posted on SAM.gov on Friday, the Leidos contract follows the termination of Cognosante’s prior award, which had a total potential value of approximately $576.2 million. Cognosante was awarded its first contract for the Military OneSource program in 2024.

What Does the Military OneSource Program Provide?

Military OneSource delivers centralized support services to about 4.7 million active-duty service members and their families worldwide, functioning similarly to a commercial employee assistance program.

The program provides 24/7 access to information, referrals and non-medical counseling through multiple channels, including phone, email, online platforms, secure messaging, artificial intelligence-enabled chatbots and in-person sessions upon request.

What Services Will Leidos Deliver?

Under the contract, Leidos will support a broad scope of services tied to program operations and user engagement, including:

  • Program management
  • Call center operations and support
  • IT operations and platform management
  • Counseling and coaching services
  • Strategic outreach

The contract reflects continued demand for integrated digital and human support services for military communities, combining traditional assistance channels with AI-enabled tools.
