Valiant has secured a five-year, $131 million contract from the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division to provide instructional training under the Contractor Instructional Services Naval Air Forces U.S. Atlantic Fleet program, or CISLANT, the company said Thursday.
What Will Valiant Provide Under the CISLANT Contract?
Under the CISLANT contract, Valiant will deliver in-person, flight and classroom instruction to Navy personnel operating multiple naval aircraft, including naval aviators, flight officers and aircrew. The training is intended to boost personnel’s capability to support operational readiness and global maritime security in four Atlantic fleet locations, including Norfolk, Oceana, Jacksonville and Mayport.
Valiant CEO Daniel Simms said the company’s aviation training work includes contracts with the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and allied nations, and that the CISLANT award extends Valiant’s aviation training work to now include support for Atlantic Fleet aviators and aircrew.
How Does the CISLANT Award Build on Valiant’s Navy Training Work?
The CISLANT contract builds on Valiant’s existing work supporting Navy and Marine Corps training requirements. In 2022, Valiant was among nine companies selected for a potential five-year, $1.31 billion Fielded Training Systems Support V indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract administered by the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division.
The contract covers instructional services, training systems management, simulator operations and maintenance, product support and other related requirements at Navy and Marine Corps installations. Valiant’s position on the contract gave the company an avenue to compete for task orders supporting the services’ training missions.
