The Department of Defense said Friday the company will conduct work for the firm-fixed-price contract at Louisville, Kentucky; El Segundo, California; Tucson, Arizona; Andover, Massachusetts; Colchester, Vermont; Mason, Ohio, and other locations in the U.S., as well as in Ottobrunn, Germany. The project is expected to run through January 2029.
The Naval Sea Systems Command at Washington Navy Yard, D.C., will allocate $66.1 million from the Navy’s fiscal 2025 operations and maintenance funds, $63 million from the Army’s fiscal 2025 other procurement funds and $29.7 million from the Navy’s fiscal 2024 weapons procurement funds. NAVSEA will also obligate $16.8 million, $14.5 million, $14 million and $657,790 from the Navy’s fiscal 2025 shipbuilding and conversion funds, working capital funds, procurement funds, and weapons procurement funds, respectively. An amount of $66.1 million will expire at the conclusion of the current fiscal year.
In August 2024, Raytheon received a $59.9 million contract to enhance the Navy’s MK 15 close-in weapon system, which covered MK 15 Mod 31 SeaRAM upgrade kits and related hardware.
