Dr. Patrick Baker is the Director of the U.S. Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC). In his current position, he oversees the Army’s premier basic and applied science research facility and the Army Research Laboratory (ARL). 

 

Before taking on his present job, Dr. Baker was the executive technical director of the Data and Analysis Centre at DEVCOM. He was also in charge of the ARL’s Survivability Lethality Analysis Directorate for four years to assess the Army’s technologies and systems for weaknesses and threats. 

 

Besides working with the defense department, Dr. Baker has written or co-written about sixty reports and publications.
