General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada said Thursday the system includes radars, image intensification sights, thermal imaging, laser range finder and GPS and works with an operator control station.
The company build the surveillance system to help bolster the vehicles’ detection ranges, image transmission and mobile operations.
Danny Deep, vice president of General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada, said the company has supported the Canadian government for 37 years.
General Dynamics will deliver the first equipped LAV III Upgrade vehicles in December 2016.
