Dave Young Joins CACI as EVP, COO

CACI International has appointed Dave Young, an aerospace and defense industry leader, as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

The company said Monday Young will report to CACI President and CEO John Mengucci as part of the company’s executive leadership team.

He noted that Young’s strategic perspective, operational discipline and leadership experience will strengthen the company’s execution and support its growth efforts.

Who Is Dave Young?

Young joins CACI from Lockheed Martin, where he most recently served as general manager of national security space. In that role, he led Lockheed’s satellite, satellite ground and space warfighting portfolios and managed over 250 defense and intelligence community programs and a workforce of more than 10,000 employees.

Before Lockheed, Young served as senior VP and COO at CAES, where he oversaw operations, engineering, business development, advanced programs, communications, government relations and strategy for a defense electronics business valued at more than $1 billion.

Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership positions at Lockheed and Northrop Grumman.

The Clarkson University aeronautical engineering and physics graduate holds a doctorate and a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
