Neo4j said Wednesday the transaction will combine its graph intelligence platform with GraphAware’s intelligence analysis capabilities to provide government customers with an open standards-based alternative to Palantir Gotham.
In a blog post published Tuesday, Emil Eifrem, founder and CEO of Neo4j, said that upon the deal’s closing, the company will operate GraphAware as a standalone business unit led by Michal Bachman, founder and CEO of GraphAware. The transaction is expected to conclude in the third quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
What Does the Deal Intend to Pursue?
According to Neo4j, the proposed acquisition supports the development of AI-powered graph technology offerings designed to help government agencies analyze connected data and generate actionable intelligence.
The company said the combined offering will provide agencies with a platform for collaborative investigations and decision intelligence while allowing organizations to maintain control over data deployment and management.
Neo4j added that the transaction aligns with its potential $100 million AI investment road map, which includes efforts to accelerate the development of autonomous and context-aware AI capabilities, including Neo4j Aura Agent and Model Context Protocol Server for Neo4j, and the launch of the company’s AI startup program.
What Is GraphAware Hume?
GraphAware Hume is a graph-powered intelligence analysis platform designed for mission-critical environments. The software brings together data and contextual information to help analysts investigate relationships, develop operational understanding and collaborate across teams.
The platform supports intelligence operations across defense, law enforcement and tax agencies.
In 2025, Redhorse announced the deployment of GraphAware Hume on a Department of War Impact Level 5 network situated within an accredited DevSecOps platform in the U.S. Air Force’s Cloud One environment.
What Did Neo4j & GraphAware CEOs Say About the Transaction?
Eifrem said government organizations have relied on Palantir’s intelligence analysis software for more than a decade and that the acquisition gives agencies another option through GraphAware Hume supported by Neo4j’s graph intelligence platform.
Bachman said the future of intelligence analysis is “graph-powered and AI-assisted” and described the transaction as the next step in a partnership spanning more than 10 years. He added that the companies plan to deepen integration and accelerate innovation for existing and future customers.
