Socure has expanded its executive leadership team with the appointment of Chung-Man Tam as chief product officer and Pablo Abreu as chief artificial intelligence and innovation officer. The global identity and risk intelligence technology provider said Thursday that Tam and Abreu will strengthen its capability to support customers as AI-driven fraud attacks increase.

AI is being used by malicious cyberactors to bypass traditional security tools and measures, but the technology also offers an opportunity to strengthen the protection of critical systems and data. Who Is Chung-Man Tam?
Tam joins Socure as chief product officer, overseeing product management, design and platform strategy.
He most recently served as CPO at Coalition, an active insurance provider, and previously held leadership positions at Affirm, 2nd Address, Chartboost, Qwilt Software, AdMob, Google, Yahoo, Rapt and Homestead Technologies.
He currently sits as a board member at Aiwyn, according to his profile on LinkedIn.
“We have built the most powerful identity and risk infrastructure in the world — the data, the AI, the graph, the platform — and the next chapter is making sure these elements combine into indispensable infrastructure for every enterprise,” stated Socure CEO Johnny Ayers. “With Chung-Man leading the product and Pablo focused entirely on our AI and innovation agenda, we have the best team to define the future of identity.”
Who Is Pablo Abreu?
Abreu was appointed Socure’s first chief AI and innovation officer after more than a decade with the company.
He previously served as chief product and analytics officer. He also held multiple leadership roles in data science at Socure, including senior vice president and vice president positions.
Before joining Socure in 2015, Abreu worked as a data scientist at JPMorgan Chase. He also worked at Verizon Wireless earlier in his career.
In his new role, Abreu will lead efforts to drive innovation in AI, data science and identity graph technologies.
“As our business scales, I look forward to expanding our competitive data moat, leading modeling accuracy and outperformance, and accelerating AI-driven innovation through the use of autonomous agents,” Abreu commented.
