- CACI will bring automated testing and cloud operations to DEAMS
- DEAMS has recently earned an unqualified audit opinion
- CACI’s Erik Grant will serve as a panelist at the 2026 Homeland Security Summit
The U.S. Air Force has awarded CACI International a potential five-year, $108 million contract to modernize and sustain the Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System, or DEAMS.

Erik Grant, vice president of the mission acceleration team in CACI’s electronic warfare line of business, will join a panel at the Potomac Officers Club’s 2026 Homeland Security Summit on Tuesday, Nov. 10, to discuss the Department of Homeland Security’s efforts to develop its cyber workforce and deploy unmanned systems. The CACI-backed event will also cover AI for investigative intelligence, edge capabilities for border defense and other homeland security priorities. Book your spot now!
What Is the Scope of the Air Force Contract?
Under the contract, CACI said Tuesday it will maintain and update DEAMS to help the Air Force improve financial transparency, operational efficiency and mission readiness. The effort is intended to support quicker, data-informed decisions and more accurate management of the service’s financial activities worldwide.
The company will use Agile development methods, automated testing, cybersecurity measures and cloud-based operations to simplify financial processes and expand visibility across the Air Force enterprise. The work builds on DEAMS’ recent receipt of an unqualified audit opinion.
John Mengucci, president and CEO of CACI and a seven-time Wash100 awardee, said the company’s approach centers on automation and reliable data to help the Air Force work more efficiently and stay ready for its missions.
“By applying secure, scalable technology, we help the Air Force strengthen financial transparency, improve decision-making, and modernize critical financial operations,” he added.
How Does the DEAMS Award Build on CACI’s Business Systems Work?
The DEAMS contract continues CACI’s work on the Air Force accounting system. In 2021, a CACI subsidiary received a potential $208.9 million contract for Agile development and system integration support for DEAMS, which manages the reporting, control and execution of the Air Force General Fund and U.S. Transportation Command’s working capital fund.
CACI has secured other financial and business systems contracts this year. The Defense Logistics Agency awarded the company a potential five-year, $306 million task order to continue providing software development and sustainment support for the Defense Agencies Initiative, which seeks to transform financial operations across DOW agencies.
The Army selected CACI for a potential seven-year, $287 million contract to continue modernizing the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army, or IPPS-A, the service’s online human resources system. CACI, which has supported IPPS-A since 2015, provides Agile software development support and software-defined platforms to accelerate feature delivery under IPPS-A Increment II.
In July, the Department of Veterans Affairs selected CACI for a $308 million operations and maintenance contract supporting its Integrated Financial and Acquisition Management System, or iFAMS. The Navy awarded CACI a potential $113.8 million contract to support the Military Sealift Command’s integrated business systems, with work potentially running through 2031.
CACI’s first-quarter fiscal 2027 contract awards included work from undisclosed government customers covering IT system development and sustainment, communications modernization and financial management system upgrades.
