Chuck Prow, former CEO of V2X and a 10-time Wash100 Award winner, will assume the role of chairman and CEO of APTIM on Nov. 9.
The company said Tuesday Prow will succeed Mark Fallon, who is leaving both positions to pursue other ventures, and will collaborate with APTIM Chief Financial Officer Jon Grant and other members of the leadership team to strengthen the company’s presence in the government services market.
Fallon expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with APTIM’s employees.
“I’m grateful for the privilege of working alongside so many committed and talented teammates at APTIM,” said Fallon. “I am so proud of the work that we have done together and all that APTIM will continue to do to deliver on the most challenging environmental and infrastructure missions for clients.”
Who Is Chuck Prow?
Prow is a government services executive whose more than 30-year career has centered on leading global organizations, with a focus on critical infrastructure and growth strategy. He most recently served as CEO of defense infrastructure management and technology company V2X.
He oversaw the creation of V2X through the merger of Vectrus and The Vertex Company, having led Vectrus as CEO since 2017. Earlier in his career, Prow held executive positions in the government and public sector businesses of IBM and PwC. He has also served on several boards across the government technology market.
Prow said he believes APTIM can benefit from increasing investment in defense modernization, critical infrastructure and energy security.
“At a time of rapid infrastructure change, the need for APTIM’s specialized services is more acute than ever, and I’m thrilled to step into the role of CEO at such an exciting moment for the Company,” he stated. “With an exceptional team, deep technical expertise, and longstanding customer relationships, I believe APTIM is positioned to capitalize on growing investment in defense modernization, energy security, and critical infrastructure.”
What Is APTIM?
APTIM is a Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based consulting firm that provides environmental, engineering, emergency management, sustainability, resilience and infrastructure services to government agencies, commercial and industrial organizations, and energy customers.
Prow takes the helm as the company builds on a string of Navy contract wins in fuel infrastructure, environmental remediation and base cleanup. In August, APTIM was named one of 10 prime contractors on the Navy’s $997 million global fuel infrastructure contract vehicle. The vehicle covers construction, maintenance and repair of pipelines, fuel storage tanks and related facilities at Navy and Marine Corps sites worldwide. The company followed that with a $145 million Navy contract for fuel systems engineering and design under the same Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center program.
Earlier in the year, an APTIM-EnergySolutions joint venture secured a seat on a $999 million demolition contract at the former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in San Francisco. Separately, the CAPE-APTIM joint venture landed a $95 million environmental remedial action contract covering Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Atlantic installations.
Late last year, Aptim Federal Services won a spot on a $900 million U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contract for engineering services. The contract lets the company compete for Galveston District task orders in coastal protection, flood management and environmental restoration.
