Doug Wagoner, CEO of LMI, accepted the 2025 Wash100 Award from Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson.
The annual Wash100 Award honors 100 of the top visionaries in government and government contracting. These distinguished leaders are selected for their significant contributions and continued role in redefining the industry.
Doug is one of the most well-respected leaders in GovCon, with a string of executive successes. A six-time Wash100 winner, he’s spent the last five years at the helm of LMI, guiding its successful transition to a for-profit enterprise in 2022 and leading the company to big wins with DLA, CMS, DOD, the Army and NASA,” said Garrettson, founder of the Wash100 Award.
“Before LMI, Doug spent a decade at SAIC, and his influence extends through his roles on the boards of several top think tanks and companies, where he continues to shape the future of the industry. I always appreciate Doug’s insight, leadership and the way he elevates those around him. He has a particularly keen ability to attract and motivate a high-IQ C-suite,” Garrettson continued.
Driving Growth and Innovation
Wagoner’s recent Wash100 win, his fifth consecutive and sixth overall, recognizes his pivotal role in driving the company’s growth through the acquisition of JJR Solutions in March 2024 to enhance its technology modernization capabilities. The award also acknowledges the company’s major contract wins under his leadership. This includes the potential five-year, $115 million blanket purchase agreement to provide data analysis and technical support services to NASA headquarters, directorates and installations, the five-year, $55 million contract for development and implementation support to the Medicare Shared Savings Program, and the $19.6 million contract to enhance veteran suicide prevention strategies for the Office of Mental Health and Office of Suicide Prevention.
Wagoner spearheaded LMI’s innovation efforts, particularly the use of generative artificial intelligence, which was highlighted by the development of LIGER, a GenAI platform engineered to streamline government operations.
