KC Wilberg Named Atlas Tech COO

Defense IT platforms provider Atlas Technologies has appointed KC Wilberg, a more than two-decade federal government contracting industry veteran, as chief operating officer.

Atlas Tech said Tuesday Wilberg will oversee initiatives to refine business strategy, improve mission delivery in support of federal customers and optimize the company’s operational efficiency.

In this capacity, he will also help improve organizational capabilities, tangible discriminators and assets and align them with go-to-market strategies to enable the company to better respond to changing national security requirements.

“KC’s strategic leadership and ability to build high-performing teams make him the ideal executive to drive our next phase of growth and operational impact in the federal contracting space,” said Atlas Tech CEO Brian Miller.

Leadership Background in Federal IT & Defense Programs

Wilberg brings to Atlas Tech his deep understanding of business transformation and operational strategy and enterprise IT leadership experience, particularly in delivering mission-critical services to the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.

The new COO has an extensive background in leading federal IT programs and implementing enterprisewide transformation initiatives across defense programs. He also brings to the role his expertise in procurement strategy, security compliance and technology integration.

The defense innovation thought leader has held senior operational leadership positions at Acuity, CACI International and L3 Technologies.

Wilberg has contributed to industry publications and executive panels by sharing his insights on open source intelligence, artificial intelligence-driven strategies and enterprise data enablement.

The Certified Project Management Professional has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Metropolitan State University and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
