Career History
The seasoned HR executive most recently served as VP of strategy development at Berry Global, where he oversaw the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to attain the company’s overall goals. As VP for workforce development and global ethics, risk and compliance, Kleist was heavily involved in a global merger, providing post-merger integration support by creating a global code of business ethics.
Before joining Berry Global, the executive spent six years at Oshkosh, where he served as senior manager for operational excellence. In this capacity, he spearheaded the establishment of quality metrics while implementing methods to enhance productivity and profitability. Kleist was also senior HR manager, HR program manager for workforce development and global communications & training manager.
Prior to joining the private sector, Kleist taught ethics at Marquette University for six years.
