KBR (NYSE: KBR) has won a $153.6 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide certified and qualified operational contractor support services for naval aircrew.
The Department of Defense said Tuesday the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract requires KBR to support testing and evaluation of all manned air vehicles managed and operated by the Naval Test Wing Atlantic and Pacific squadrons.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee and cost reimbursable IDIQ has a September 2029 expected completion date.
KBR will fulfill 85 percent of the project at Patuxent River, Maryland, while the rest of the work will be carried out at Point Mugu, California (10 percent) and China Lake, California (5 percent).
The contract was competitively procured and KBR was one of only two companies that sent their offers in response to the electronic request for proposal.
Patuxent River, Maryland-based Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division is responsible for managing the contract.
KBR was previously awarded an $81 million contract for the same services in 2019.
