The retired U.S. Air Force brigadier general will lead Defcon AI’s technology review board and oversee strategy development, develop business partnerships and provide technical guidance to the company’s leadership team, Defcon AI said Thursday.
Stapp held various roles of increasing responsibility during his more than nine-year career at Northrop, including corporate VP and CTO, VP of space resiliency and rapid prototyping and VP of applied research and technology development.
His military career includes time as director of special programs within the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Stapp is an advisory council member of the Space Force Association and serves on the advisory board of the Hume Center for National Security and Technology at Virginia Tech.
