Martin Klein, former chief operating officer of the Department of Defense’s Joint Artificial Intelligence Center, has rejoined ECS to serve as vice president of analytics and AI responsible for the company’s overseeing strategic digital transformation initiatives in the defense and intelligence markets.
The three-decade U.S. Army veteran brings to the role his combined government and industry experience in data science, advanced analytics and AI and machine learning delivery, ECS said Thursday.
“Marty was a founding member of the ECS AI practice, and we are excited to have him back with new perspectives leading our AI efforts now,” said John Heneghan, president of ECS and a 2023 Wash100 awardee.
Klein previously held program manager, director and VP roles at the Fairfax, Virginia-headquartered information technology services provider before his JAIC COO stint.
Most recently, he was general manager of federal and senior VP for global defense, intelligence and cyberspace at C3 AI.
