Finland has requested services to modernize its M270A1 MLRS fleet into the M270A2 model to enhance interoperability with U.S. and allied forces, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Tuesday.
The updated system will include intercom hardware, machine gun and radio communication mounts, a battle management system vehicle integration kit, publications for MLRS, spares and program and logistics support services.
Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), Chelton, Leonardo DRS (Nasdaq: DRS) and Loc Performance Products will serve as principal contractors on the proposed sale.
If executed, the transaction would not require the deployment of government or contractor representatives to Finland.
