A Department of Health and Human Services office has begun seeking proposals for a potential 10-year, $10 billion multiple-purpose acquisition vehicle that aims to advance the rapid development and commercialization of medical countermeasures.
A notice posted Friday on SAM.gov says that BARDA seeks to enter into an other transaction authority agreement with a consortium management firm to establish and administer the Rapid Response Partnership Vehicle.
RRPV will focus on the full development life cycle of MCM products to enhance preparedness and enable a rapid response to a public health emergency.
The BARDA partnership vehicle will establish an industry consortium that will advance mission-relevant technologies in two focus areas: medical technology and vaccines and therapeutics.
Interested parties have until Aug. 7 to respond to the solicitation.
