Rocket Lab USA (Nasdaq: RKLB) has established a wholly owned subsidiary to offer spacecraft manufacturing, space systems capabilities and launch services to defense and intelligence community clients.
Rocket Lab National Security will be based in the U.S. and will build on its parent company’s performance delivering separation systems, space solar power, flight software and other space technologies to provide new capabilities in support of national security missions of the U.S. government and its allies, the company said Thursday.
“Across our launch and space systems offerings, we have the privilege of working with the full spectrum of space users from primes, commercial constellation operators and small start-ups, to US and Allied government customers,” said Brian Rogers, senior director for global government launch services at Rocket Lab.
Rogers noted that through RLNS, the company will deliver tailored space capabilities in support of the country’s evolving requirements by building on its experience providing launch and space systems for customers.
