Amentum Named Top 'Military Friendly' Employer; John Heller Quoted

Amentum has landed the top spot in the largest company category of the 2023 Military Friendly Employers list in recognition of the Falls Church, Virginia-based government services contractor’s efforts to hire and retain retired service members.

“The value we place on military service is evident throughout our company and we are honored to have members of the military community on our team,” John Heller, CEO of Amentum and a six-time Wash100 awardee, said in a statement published Friday.

Defense contractors accounted for 11 percent of Military Friendly designated employers and Texas was named the top hiring region for military retirees.

ManTech International, AT&T (NYSE: T) and nine other companies have been recognized at least 16 times in the 20 years of Viqtory’s Military Friendly Employers list.

The 20th annual Military Friendly Employers list will be published in the December issue of G.I. Jobs magazine.
