Army Contracting Command received one offer for the cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price contract and expects work to run through Aug. 15, 2025, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The service will obligate funds and announce work locations upon the award of each task order.
GMLRS is a long-range, all-weather munition designed to offer surface-to-surface, precision strike capability and can be fired from High Mobility Artillery Rocket System and M270 launchers. The round comes in unitary, alternative warhead and extended-range variants.
In March 2021, Lockheed received two GMLRS contracts from the U.S. Army. A production contract valued at $1 billion for lot 16 GMLRS was awarded in support of the service branch, U.S. Marine Corps and foreign military customers. The company was selected to provide GMLRS rocket pods and cybersecurity support under a $2.76 billion contract.
