A consortium that comprises Thales, Leonardo, Indra Sistemas and Hensoldt will provide tactical data link communication systems to U.S. and European military customers under a five-year, $338.8 million contract.
Euromids will provide MIDS-LVTs, spares and logistics and engineering services to France, Germany, Italy and Spain under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The alliance will additionally support software for the U.S.’ cooperative development program with the four international countries.
MIDS-LVTs are designed to help military platform users transmit digital data and voice communications by facilitating Link 16 interoperability between joint and allied forces, according to Euromids.
