Christopher O’Donnell, acting assistant secretary for acquisition at the Department of Defense, will keynote a Nov. 3 virtual event hosted by Executive Mosaic’s flagship Government Contracting Wire (GovCon Wire) to provide insight into the Pentagon’s current priorities to advance capabilities for the U.S. military.
O’Donnell is also the deputy assistant secretary of defense for platform and weapon portfolio management, a role he has held since March 2019. Previously, he served as executive director of the Joint Rapid Acquisition Cell and staff specialist for the Joint Ground Robotics Enterprise.
Before he came to the Pentagon in 2012, O’Donnell led the acquisition and technology department within the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division.
He is a recipient of multiple awards including the Office of the Secretary of Defense Medals for Exceptional and Meritorious Civilian Service and two Navy Superior Civilian Service Awards.
