Heidi Grant, director of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, will join Boeing (NYSE: BA) on Nov. 8 to serve as vice president of business development with oversight of the company’s defense, space and government services sales organization.
She will directly report to Leanne Caret, president and CEO of Boeing’s defense, space and security business, and Ted Colbert, president and CEO of Boeing Global Services, as she leads the sales team through the aerospace and defense contractor’s office in Arlington, Virginia, the company said Thursday.
“Heidi brings extensive experience in global strategy and competitive positioning across the life cycle,” said Caret, a five-time Wash100 Award winner. “We look forward to working closely with her as we compete, win and grow our business around the world.”
Grant announced Tuesday her plans to step down from her role and transition from federal service. She has served as director of DSCA since August 2020 and spent more than three decades serving in the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, Joint Staff and other agencies within the Department of Defense.
Mike Manazir, who has served as acting VP for the global sales and marketing organization, will return to his position as VP of business development within Boeing Global Services.
