Danny Connelly, former associate chief information security officer of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has been named CISO for the Americas business operations at Zscaler.
He brings more than two decades of technology experience to the company and will be responsible for its cybersecurity strategy in the government and enterprise markets, Zscaler said Wednesday.
During his 11-year CDC career, Connelly oversaw the development, implementation and modernization of systems designed to help the agency protect assets from cyber threats.
Kavitha Mariappan, executive vice president of customer experience and transformation at Zscaler, said Connelly will apply his professional experience in efforts to help customers implement a cloud-based security approach and address digital transformation goals.
