Pyramid Systems to Move HUD Loan Platform to Cloud; Sherry Hwang Quoted

Pyramid Systems has secured a two-year, $42M contract from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to migrate loan processing system applications to cloud computing infrastructure designed for government use.

The company said Wednesday it will use the Salesforce platform to refactor legacy information technology systems for the Federal Housing Administration and help the agency transition to Amazon Web Services‘ GovCloud platform.

HUD enlisted the help of the company last summer to transform the FHA system through a minimum viable product method as part of the Salesforce Refactoring and Implementation Support Services contract.

“Pyramid has recently supported HUD with the modernization of Salesforce technology via supplemental claims MVP, which allows mortgage lenders to submit supplemental claims online in 17 minutes and receive payment in days versus the previous 17-month paper process,” said Sherry Hwang, co-founder and president of Pyramid.
