Lockheed-Norhtrop JV Gets $165M Army Contract for Apache Helicopter Electronics

Longbow, a joint venture of Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), has secured a $164M contract from the U.S. Army to manufacture mast-mounted assembly and radar electronics for AH-64E Apache helicopters.

The firm-fixed-price contract includes foreign military sales to the United Arab Emirates, Netherlands, India and Morocco, the Department of Defense said Thursday. The Army solicited for the contract online and received one proposal.

Army received one bid for the contract via an online-based solicitation. Work will take place in Orlando, Florida, through Dec. 31, 2022.

The Lockheed-Northrop JV will also supply Apache fire control radars to 12 FMS customers under a separate $235.8M contract awarded in January.
