A Telephonics subsidiary has secured a $119M task order from the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division to perform threat-based engineering support for U.S. Navy weapons and combat systems development programs.
Telephonics' systems engineering group will create physics-based models, analyze intelligence, develop simulations and integrate software as part of the task order awarded under the SeaPort-NxG contract, the company said Monday.
Columbia, Md.-based SEG will continue to support the branch's threat engineering team by applying data and knowledge in areas such as integrated air and missile defense, space sensing and counter-hypersonics.
The group won a spot on the potential $50B Navy procurement vehicle for engineering and program management services in late 2018.
