Michael Barnes, former senior strategic account executive for the Department of Agriculture at Salesforce (NYSE: CRM), has joined Google‘s (Nasdaq: GOOGL) cloud business as a federal civilian sales executive, G2Xchange ETC reported Thursday.
Prior to Salesforce, Barnes worked at Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) as core and cloud technology client executive for treasury and federal financials. He previously served as the software company’s federal technology sales representative focused on the Department of Homeland Security market.
His industry career also included roles as software client leader and account manager within the public sector businesses at IBM (NYSE: IBM) and CA Technologies, respectively.
The West Virginia University graduate received certification from IBM’s Competitive Selling Master Level Program.
