Redwood City, Calif.-based Sumo Logic has been recognized by CRN magazine as one of the 10 coolest startups that develop technology platforms with artificial intelligence and machine learning to help customers manage business processes.
The company, led by CEO Ramin Sayar, developed a cloud-based machine data analytics platform for government clients to build, operate and secure applications.
Sumo Logic raised $110 million in its most recent funding round, which brought the total amount of financing provided by investors to $345 million to date and gave it a valuation of $1 billion.
The analytics technology provider, which currently holds the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program Ready status, also helps organizations protect IT operations through its Cloud Security Information & Event Management and Global Intelligence Service offerings.
“The Federal CIO offices are looking for cloud-native, secure alternatives that help them collect, manage and act on live intelligence across all machine data in their enterprise,” said Doug Natal, general manager of Sumo Logic’s federal business unit.
“The company has been doing this for almost 10-years, its time for the Federal Government to leverage it,” Natal added.
