DISA to Procure Cybersecurity Services Through NIH IT Contract Vehicle

The Defense Information Systems Agency will use the National Institutes of Health™s Information Technology Acquisition Assistance Contract to procure cybersecurity services instead of conducting a full and open competition for the procurement effort, Nextgov reported Tuesday.

DISA is seeking help desk, risk management support, audit and assessment readiness, program assistance and other network and infrastructure support for the Defense Contract Management Agency™s Cybersecurity Center as well as the Department of Defense™s SIPRNet classified network via a recompete contract.

The solicitation can be found on the Chief Information Officer-Solutions and Partners 3 portal, DISA said Monday in a FedBizOpps notice.

According to a FedBizOpps summary, the upcoming contract will have a four-month base period, four one-year options and an additional six-month extension.
