Shayne Higdon, a former executive at software vendor BMC, has joined cybersecurity company Forcepoint as chief operating officer.
He will oversee operations, engineering, product management, customer support and service organizations in his new role, Forcepoint said Wednesday.
Higdon will also support the firms investment, cybersecurity market growth and global expansion efforts.
At BMC, he served as vice president of enterprise strategy and operations and as president of its performance and analytics business. He also led the identity management-as-service provider Symplified as president and CEO. and held a 10-year career at Quest Software.
Matthew Moynahan, CEO of Forcepoint, said Higdon brings more than 20 years of strategic, operational and commercial experience as the company aims to drive cybersecurity as a key industry paradigm with global partners and customers.
