Neel Dev, formerly group vice president of finance at CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL), has been promoted to executive VP and chief financial officer at the telecommunications provider.
He has served as CenturyLink’s CFO on an interim basis since Sunit Patel stepped down from the position in September, the company said Tuesday.
Dev will oversee real estate portfolio, global procurement, supply chain and financial management functions in his new capacity.
The more than 20-year industry veteran joined CenturyLink upon its acquisition of Level 3 Communications, where he previously held a 13-year career.
The cash-and-stock deal, worth approximately $34B, closed in November of last year.
