USO-Metro™s 15th Annual Stars and Stripes Benefit for the Troops has raised more than $250K in funds, breaking last year™s contribution record.

Elaine Rogers, president and CEO of USO-Metro, presided over the annual networking event held Thursday at Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center in Virginia to raise funds for the organization™s programs supporting servicemembers, veterans and their families in the Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore area.

GovCon industry executives, community leaders, sponsors and other supporters attended the event, which featured celebrity beauty queens who helped reinforce the message œAmerica the beautiful.

Bill Sapp of CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL) co-chaired the event with Cyrus Zol, creator of the œSalute to Veterans Series.”

Also in attendance were Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson and Paul McQuillan, president and chief operating officer of Culmen International, which presented the event with Live! Casino & Hotel.
