Culmen Wins $150M DTRA Cooperative Threat Reduction Support IDIQ

Culmen International has won a potential five-year, $150M contract to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency in efforts to reduce threats from weapons of mass destruction and related technology, materials, expertise and facilities.

Two offers were submitted to the government for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via a full and open competition on FedBizOpps, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

DTRA will issue task orders that may run for up to one year after the previous ordering date.

Work under the contract is expected to be done by Sept. 17, 2023.

The national initiative to counter WMDs arose from a measure that was enacted into law in late 2002.

The CTR program aims to encourage collaboration among interested countries to counter nuclear proliferation threats and help former Soviet republics adhere to Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty regulations.
