Hitachi Vantara has agreed to purchase REAN Cloud for an undisclosed sum in a move to expand its portfolio of cloud and managed services offerings designed to help clients expedite their digital transformation efforts across multicloud environments.
Hitachi Vantara said Tuesday it expects the acquisition to wrap up later this year and will operate REAN Cloud as part of its solutions and services group upon the deals completion.
Bobby Soni, chief solutions and services officer of Hitachi Vantara, currently leads the companys solutions and services segment.
“Modernized infrastructure running both on and off premises and intelligent data governance and analytics are the foundational pillars of digital transformations, said Hitachi Vantara CEO Brian Householder.
Householder added that REAN Cloud would help the parent company, Hitachi Ltd., broaden its portfolio of partners and clients in those areas.
David Turner, president and CEO of Hitachi Vantaras federal business, said in a statement published Tuesday the transaction will help the company build up its capability to deliver end-to-end data platforms to the federal government through REAN Clouds offerings.
Established in 2013, REAN Cloud is a member of partner networks of Amazon Web Services and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and provides cloud systems integration support, managed services and customized platforms for use in machine learning, predictive analytics and internet of things analytics areas.
