An SESsubsidiary has landed a potential five-year, $516.7 million blanket purchase agreement that covers medium Earth orbit satellite services to the Defense Department.
SES Government Solutions will provide DoD customers access to high throughput satellite capacity, broadband, gateway, monitoring and control services through the O3b MEO platform, the company said Monday.
The single-award BPA also covers satellite terminals, field service representative support, training and terrestrial backhaul support work.
Pete Hoene, president and CEO of SES Government Solutions, said the agreement will work to help DoD manage its fiber-like communications globally.
Work under the BPA is scheduled to occur through April 30, 2023.
The Reston, Va-based contractor noted it operates an MEO HTS platform with a data transfer speed of more than five gigabits per second at 18 U.S. government locations worldwide.
