Kurt Abkemeier
Kurt Abkemeier, who joined Fidelis Cybersecurity in July 2017, has been appointed chief financial officer of the Bethesda, Maryland-based automation detection and response technology company.
Fidelis said Thursday Abkemeier brings 20 years of industry experience to his new position and the company expects him to play a key role in business expansion efforts across the enterprise and midmarket areas.
He has made contributions to the company’s efforts to transform operations, update business cost structure and relocate headquarters to Maryland from its former Waltham, Massachusetts, office.
Abkemeier previously served as CFO of Progress Software (Nasdaq: PRGS), where he managed finance, customer relation and treasury functions.
His industry career also includes leadership positions at JPMorgan (NYSE: JPM), MAP Communications, Cbeyond and Inteliquent.
