John Goodman to Succeed David Moskovitz as Accenture Federal Business CEO

John Goodman, chief operating officer of Accenture‘s (NYSE: ACN) federal services business over the past five years, has been promoted as the unit’s CEO in a move that takes effect Nov. 20.

He will succeed David Moskovitz, who will help with the Accenture Federal Services leadership transition through Aug. 31, 2018 and then shift to a senior managing director role at Accenture afterward, the company said Tuesday.

Moskovitz, a 23-year company veteran, has led AFS since late 2012.

Goodman previously served as managing director of Accenture’s defense and intelligence business and management consulting division for the firm’s worldwide public service operating group.

Before he joined Accenture in 1998, Goodman held a five-year federal career that included time as deputy undersecretary and deputy assistant secretary for industrial Affairs at the Defense Department, as well as served on the White House’s National Economic Council.

Goodman is also a member of the AFS board of directors and chairman of the Professional Services Council’s Executive Committee.
