Phillip Mazzocco, former vice president of sector security at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), has joined Peraton as chief security officer at the Herndon, Virginia-based communications, space and technology services contractor.
He previously led security operations for Leidos’ national security programs and a security team that supported the Defense Healthcare Management System modernization project, Peraton said Wednesday.

“Phil brings to Peraton more than 20 years of experience providing industrial security for Fortune 500 companies,” Peraton CEO Stu Shea said.
“He understands full-spectrum security — the complex interplay among such aspects as risk management, crisis management, program security, international operations, training and insider threat,” added Shea, a 2014 inductee into Executive Mosaics Wash100.
