The U.S. Navy has named eight awardees on a potential five-year, $487 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to support naval aircraft prototype projects.
The Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday task orders will encompass prototype air vehicle modification; mission systems; aircraft stores and support equipment designs; build-to-print technical data packages; test and evaluation kits; and fleet introduction assistance.
Work also covers support for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s Aircraft Prototype Systems Division in feasibility studies, concept development, prototype development, systems integration, tests and production efforts.
The Navy received seven proposals for the multiple-award IDIQ contract’s lot 1 unrestricted portion and another 10 proposals for the lot 2 small business set-aside track.
