Stephanie Hill, vice president and general manager of cyber, ships and advanced technologies at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), has been named senior VP for corporate strategy and business development at the Bethesda, Maryland-based aerospace and defense contractor in a move that takes effect Sept. 11.
Hill will also serve as a corporate officer and oversee the companys corporate strategies worldwide and efforts to identify and pursue new business opportunities, Lockheed said Wednesday.
Marillyn Hewson, chairman, president and CEO of Lockheed and an inductee into Executive Mosaics Wash100 for 2017, said Hill has more than three decades of leadership experience and will help the company build up client relationships and business strategies amid the changing global security environment.
Hill is responsible for the implementation of the Littoral Combat Ship program, unmanned aerial systems, cybersecurity, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems and fixed-wing mission platforms as VP and GM of CSAT programs for Lockheeds rotary and mission systems business.
She started her career at Lockheed in 1987 as a software engineer and has held senior leadership roles such as VP of corporate internal audit as well as VP and GM of information system and global solutions civil business and mission systems and sensors business.
She is also a member of various organizations such as the Maryland Business Roundtable, Greater Baltimore Committee and board of visitors of the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
