Veritas Capital completed the $690 million cash acquisition of Harris Corporation’s (NYSE:HRS) Government IT Services Business.
The Harris acquisition will round out Veritas’ portfolio of twelve companies and enhance their position within the Aerospace & Defense industry.
Veritas Capital purchased government services contractor Alion Science and Technology in 2015 for what Dow Jones reported at the time as nearly $300 million.
Harris indicated that proceeds from the transaction will be used to support the companys capital allocation strategy, including pension pre-funding and share repurchases.
