Tony Mathis, a senior account executive at General Electric‘s (NYSE: GE) aviation segment, has been promoted to serve as vice president and general manager of GE Aviation’s military systems organization.
Visal Leng was also named Asia Pacific president and CEO of GE’s oil and gas business as Jennifer Waldo was appointed vice president and chief human resources officer of the company’s digital business, GE said Thursday.
Mathis served in various roles of increasing responsibility throughout his 19-year career at GE.
He joined GE from the U.S. Air Force where he specialized in flight test and propulsion project engineering.
Mathis holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University; a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from California State University, Fresno; and a master’s degree in business administration from Xavier University.
