AM General has received new contracts and contract modifications worth a combined $151 million to supply Humvee vehicles to the U.S. military’s National Guard and Reserve components as well as Afghanistan and Ukraine.
The company said Monday it will produce 360 M1152A1B2 Humvees and 73 M1151A1B1 Humvees for Afghanistan, 40 M1152 Humvee ambulances for Ukraine and 237 additional M997A3 Humvee ambulances for the National Guard and Reserves.
The contracts also cover automotive kits, spare parts and training support services.
Chris Vanslager, executive vice president of AM General’s U.S. defense business segment, said the company is committed to help the U.S. military beef up readiness across all services and components.
AM General has deployed approximately 230, 000 Humvees to domestic and international customers worldwide.
