Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a $101.9 delivery order from the U.S. Navy to produce F-35 aircraft software data loads in support of verification and validation testing efforts at the military branchs F-35 Reprogramming Center West.
The company will also provide technical support to help the service branch design, test and deliver V&V mission data file generation systems and modification kits to foreign military sales clients, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
DoD noted the order comes under a previously awarded basic ordering agreement and the Naval Air Systems Command obligated $74.1 million in FMS funds at the time of award, according to DoD.
Lockheed will perform work in California, Florida, New Hampshire and Texas through December 2018.
