Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has received a $53.5 million contract modification from the U.S. Army to extend its operations and maintenance services for the military branch’s web-based financial and asset management platform.
The Defense Departmentsaid Monday that Accenture’s federal services business will perform work in Arlington, Virginia through Sept. 30, 2016.
Accenture built and implemented the General Fund Enterprise Business Systemin 2012 with the intent to help the Army manage auditing and business processes at the service branch’s facilities worldwide.
The Army Contracting Command obligated $11.4 million at the time of the award of the modification from fiscal year 2016 operations and maintenance funds, DoD noted.
