John Gelsinger, a seasoned executive with 25 years of IT and consulting experience, announced on LinkedIn Monday that he has been appointed vice president of business development for digital solutions at CACI International.
The business development professional brings extensive experience in driving growth, building strategic partnerships, spearheading cross-functional teams and delivering customer-driven services.
Who Is John Gelsinger?
Gelsinger is a U.S. Army veteran who most recently served as VP of business development at Government Acquisitions, where he led the company’s business expansion and capture activities.
The CACI executive also worked at HP as general manager for the U.S. federal systems integrator and specialty sales and at Leidos Health as chief technologist of business development.
Gelsinger spent over seven years at Dell EMC holding leadership positions including director of sales and marketing and global account manager. He was directly requested by the CEO of Leidos to oversee relations between the two companies.
Before joining Dell, Gelsinger spent four years focused on promoting youth athletics in the Greater Fort Hood Texas area as president of Pure Energy Sports. He also spent four years at Lockheed Martin serving in various roles, including manager of capture operations, senior manager of strategic planning and director of business development manager. Gelsinger was the business development manager and operations officer at Sytex when it was acquired by Lockheed Martin in 2005.
With the Army, Gelsinger served with Brigade 6 of the Army’s 13th Field Group. In his five years in the service, he held various positions, including information management officer, assistant information system security manager, system administrator and information system security officer.
