Drew Hoffman has been named president and chief legal officer at Second Front Systems.
The Delaware-based public-benefit software company said Friday Hoffman’s appointment, which is effective immediately, aligns with the company’s commitment to developing commercial innovation and driving growth in the national security sector through strategic leadership and operational excellence.
Hoffman will leverage his extensive experience in executive leadership, legal practice and professional sports combined with his strategic vision and operational expertise to perform his new responsibilities, including facilitating government access to commercially proven software-as-a-service applications.
Drew Hoffman’s Career Achievements
The 2F executive most recently served as a venture adviser at New Enterprise Associates. In this capacity, he oversaw NEA’s portfolio companies ensuring their growth while empowering leadership teams to function strategically and efficiently.
Hoffman was a senior partner, chief operating officer and general counsel at Echo where he was responsible for the company’s operations while overseeing the hiring and development of personnel. He was also involved in Echo’s legal and compliance efforts while driving portfolio companies’ growth and risk management strategies.
Before joining Echo, Hoffman worked at Le-Vel for eight years. He served in various leadership roles including president, COO and CLO. He played a pivotal role in the startup company’s growth in the consumer goods health and wellness market.
Hoffman practiced law for Bracewell from 2008 to 2014. He played professional soccer for three years in Czechia and Germany before entering the legal industry.
